Mission Statement

Sistah Soldiers United Organization, Inc. empowers women veterans and their children through mentorship, advocacy, resources, and community support. We also serve homeless veterans, mentor veterans participating in Accountability Court, support local school homeless programs, and organize community outreach initiatives.

What We Do

We host community blood drives, provide hygiene backpacks and essential items to homeless veterans and individuals in need, support local school homeless programs, assist with student lunch debt, mentor veterans, and connect families with resources that help restore dignity, stability, and hope.

Why We Serve

Many women veterans return home carrying invisible battles long after their military service ends. SSUO was created to stand in the gap through mentorship, outreach, advocacy, support services, and genuine human connection. We believe no veteran should struggle alone and every woman veteran deserves support, dignity, and sisterhood beyond the uniform.

From One Survivor to Another

Returning to civilian life can feel like entering another battlefield—one fought in silence with invisible weight. SSUO was born from that exact struggle. We understand the unique challenges women veterans face because we have walked in those same boots.
This isn’t just an organization; it’s a sanctuary. From healing and stability to finding your purpose again, we are here to bridge the gap. We are sisters-in-arms, bound by service and dedicated to each other’s survival and success.

Support for Veterans' Children

Children of veterans deserve age-appropriate support that helps them feel safe, heard, and supported. SSUO connects families with local school resources, community referrals, and age-appropriate programs so children can process change with the guidance of qualified professionals. We work alongside schools and community partners to make sure no veteran’s child is overlooked — offering a caring first point of contact and a clear path to the right resource.
